Orifice Flanges are specialized flanges designed to measure fluid flow rates in piping systems by integrating an orifice plate between two flanges. These flanges are equipped with pressure tap holes (also called jack screws or tapping points) that allow the differential pressure across the orifice plate to be accurately measured. This differential pressure is then used to calculate flow rates based on Bernoulli’s principle. Orifice flanges eliminate the need for additional tapping or fittings, streamlining the installation of flow measurement devices such as differential pressure transmitters.
Commonly used in oil & gas, refineries, chemical plants, power generation, and water treatment facilities, orifice flanges provide a dependable and compact solution for integrating flow metering into critical pipelines. These flanges are typically used with RTJ (Ring Type Joint) or raised face (RF) sealing surfaces and are available in both weld neck and slip-on types depending on the pressure class and application. click here for pipes
At Middle East Piping, we supply Orifice Flanges in accordance with ASME B16.36 and B16.5, manufactured from materials such as Carbon Steel (A105, A350 LF2), Stainless Steel (SS 304 / 316 / 321), and Duplex / Super Duplex for corrosive or offshore environments. The flanges come complete with orifice plates, bolts, nuts, gaskets, and jack screws. Optional accessories include RTJ gaskets, paddle plates, and carrier rings. All components can be delivered with full traceability including EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2 MTC, NACE MR0175, and third-party inspection reports. click here for valves
