RTJ gaskets (Ring Type Joint gaskets) are precision-engineered metallic sealing rings designed to withstand extreme pressure and temperature conditions in critical piping systems. These gaskets provide a metal-to-metal seal between flanges, commonly used in oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, and refinery industries where reliable, leak-proof connections are essential.
Manufactured from solid metal (typically soft iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, or exotic alloys like Inconel or Monel), RTJ gaskets fit into a precisely machined groove on RTJ flanges as per ASME B16.5, API 6A, and ASME B16.47 standards. When bolted, the gasket deforms slightly to create a tight, high-integrity seal that remains stable under high pressures and cyclic loading.
There are several types of RTJ gaskets available, with R (oval or octagonal), RX, and BX profiles being the most common. Each is selected based on pressure class and compatibility with the flange groove design. Approved Pipes
At Middle East Piping, we supply a full range of RTJ gaskets from 150# to 20,000 psi, in materials such as SS316, SS304, Low Carbon Steel, Inconel 625, and Soft Iron, with full compliance to NACE MR0175, API 6A, and EN 10204 3.1/3.2 certifications. All gaskets are manufactured under stringent quality controls and can be delivered anywhere across the GCC region with short lead times. Approved Valves
