SMO 254 flanges are engineered from a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel developed for maximum resistance against pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in aggressive chloride-bearing environments. With a chemical composition enriched with 20% chromium, 18% nickel, 6% molybdenum, and nitrogen, these flanges outperform conventional stainless steels and even Duplex grades in terms of corrosion resistance, especially in seawater, brine, and oxidizing acid conditions.

These flanges are ideal for offshore oil platforms, desalination plants, heat exchangers, chemical processing units, and marine applications, where mechanical strength and corrosion resistance must be uncompromised.
