SMO 254 flanges are engineered from a high-alloy austenitic stainless steel developed for maximum resistance against pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in aggressive chloride-bearing environments. With a chemical composition enriched with 20% chromium, 18% nickel, 6% molybdenum, and nitrogen, these flanges outperform conventional stainless steels and even Duplex grades in terms of corrosion resistance, especially in seawater, brine, and oxidizing acid conditions.
These flanges are ideal for offshore oil platforms, desalination plants, heat exchangers, chemical processing units, and marine applications, where mechanical strength and corrosion resistance must be uncompromised. SMO 254’s superior strength-to-weight ratio and high-temperature performance make it an excellent choice for flanged piping systems in mission-critical zones.
Middle East Piping offers a complete inventory of SMO 254 flanges including weld neck, slip-on, blind, socket weld, lap joint, threaded, and orifice flanges, all manufactured in compliance with ASME B16.5, ASME B16.47, and EN 1092-1 standards. Our flanges are available in a wide range of sizes and pressure classes from Class 150 to 2500 and PN6 to PN100, with RF, RTJ, and FF face finishes based on project requirements. click here
Each flange is precisely machined and fully certified to EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2, with optional testing and compliance documents such as NACE MR0175, ISO 15156, and PED certification for use in sour gas and offshore installations. We maintain ready stock across GCC and ensure prompt delivery for urgent site needs in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait. click here
