SS 904L Fittings

SS 904L pipe fittings are manufactured from a high-alloy, austenitic stainless steel known for its exceptional resistance to strong acids, including sulfuric, phosphoric, and acetic acids. With a composition containing high levels of chromium (19–23%), nickel (23–28%), molybdenum (4–5%), and copper (1–2%), 904L provides superior protection against pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in chloride-rich and aggressive industrial environments.

Originally developed for the chemical and fertilizer industries, SS 904L fittings are now widely used in offshore oil & gas installations, marine systems, paper & pulp processing, flue gas desulfurization, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. Their excellent weldability, high strength, and long service life make them ideal for applications where corrosion resistance cannot be compromised and where conventional 304L or 316L grades are insufficient.
