SS 904L Pipes

SS 904L Pipes (UNS N08904) are high-alloy austenitic stainless steel pipes known for their exceptional resistance to strong acids, particularly sulfuric acid, and superior corrosion performance in chloride-rich environments. With a high content of nickel (23–28%), chromium (19–23%), molybdenum (4–5%), and the addition of copper, SS 904L offers excellent protection against pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking.

These pipes are widely used in chemical processing, pharmaceutical production, fertilizer plants, oil & gas refineries, and pulp & paper industries, especially where conventional stainless steels like 316L are not suitable. SS 904L performs well in highly reducing and oxidizing environments and maintains strength even at elevated temperatures.
